I’ve worked the icy ski fields of Canada, taught surf lessons on Californian breaks, and kept mining trucks and drill rigs alive deep under the red dirt of WA, South Africa, and—most brutally—Tanzania.
Down in those scorching tunnels I’d day-dream about a workshop by the sea, somewhere warm but not that warm.
Four years later that dream is reality: Aura Auto Electrical on the Sunshine Coast.
After a stint as a diesel fitter in the Sydney tunnel extensions and two years sharpening my skills in a local shop, I opened the roller door on my own place.
Today I pour every lesson from snow, salt, dust, and diesel into rock-solid fixes and adventure-ready upgrades.
When I’m not under a bonnet you’ll find me camping with my family along the southeast Queensland coast, putting four-wheel-drive electrics through the same trials I build them to survive.

It’s here in Baringa that Todd opened Aura Auto Electrical and Air Conditioning — the workshop he once dreamed of while working in far-flung places. Backed by over 20 years of hands-on experience with everything from small cars and boats to heavy earthmoving machinery and 60-tonne tunnel-boring giants, Todd and his team bring rugged reliability and precision workmanship to every job.
From that dream has grown a workshop built for the Sunshine Coast way of life — where weekend getaways, fishing trips, and worksite demands all depend on a vehicle you can trust.
